Everyone growing up in Atlantic Canada remembers the sweet taste of salt water taffy.  This soft, yet chewy textured candy that is achieved by stretching and pulling the cooked sugar mixture to incorporate air and break up the sugar crystals. Despite the name, it doesn't contain any saltwater, but it does contain salt to balance the sweetness.

Individually wrapped in  nautical themed waxed paper!  Makes a sweet gift or party favour.
